We know that we haven’t been all that active on here lately, or at all you might think.
But, you couldn’t be more wrong!!
We are active and very much so too we might add!
We can’t reveal just yet what it is that’s in the works but some major news will soon be delivered!

Greetings,
September 26th marks a very special occasion for all of us in The Mist of Avalon.
The 26th of September 2009 marks the 10-year anniversary of the passing of our beloved friend and brother Saher ”Sacko” Khalifeh.
Sacko joined The Mist of Avalon in the winter of 1998 and tragically got taken out of our lives on the night of September 26th, 1999.
Born with inevitable heart failure, Sacko fought his entire life until that dyer night when his body simply could not continue anymore. When his tender heart no longer could carry his love and passion for life, his friends and beloved ones.
Sacko never followed us into our 20’s but he will forever live in our hearts and we miss him every day.
We love you Sacko, for evermore and we miss you each and every day.
Not a day has been the same since you left us but you gave us the greatest gift of all. We got to know you and you taught us to cherish each and every day of our life.
Thank you for the time you gave to us and for the memories that we will share forever so that your legacy will live on forever.
To mark this special occasion we have chosen to release a song called ”The Calling” that was recorded in 2001 and has never been heard by anyone outside our inner circle. A song about Sacko and how much we all miss him. About going to his grave and how he still remains among us.
Also on the 26th of September there will be a very special show in Uppsala at Hi-Jazz featuring The Mist of Avalon and Blue Session, a blues band that Sacko also was a very proud member of. The set will be entirely acoustic and feature songs from his time with us. Songs he loved and of course, our song to him.
So, if you can’t be there to share this evening of remembrance, please light a candle and listen to this song about him and us and send a thought to his family.
We want to share a poem that Sacko wrote in August of 1999, shortly before he died:
See the beauty in life and be happy for it.
Because without the beauty, we are easily lost into great darkness.
So look around for everything,
Big and small, that will give you a smile or laughter.
Then sing of all your hearts’ desire.
Shout out your happiness!
And share it, for that…
That is to live!

Hello everyone!!
We are happy to announce that The Mist of Avalon will be featured on the compilation ”Gothic Visions” cd with the song Sacrifice and on the dvd with the video ”Helpless Little Friend”!!
The Compilation will be released on October 9:th 2009 through Echozone/EDEL Records in
Germany. The DVD-only version will be part of the limited edition of the next
Crawling Tunes magazine, released in november 2009.
Needless to say, we are psyched to work with Jörg and the rest of the crew over at Echozone/EDEL Records and hope that as many of you as possible will support us (and them!!) by picking up the cd and dvd!

Hello everyone !!
So, this will be a short but MASSIVE update.
First of all, we would like to thank each and everyone of you who has been voting for us during the Jack Rocks competition.
As we announced before we did indeed play at Harry B James saturday night and besides it being a very cramped stage we did well in our opinion, Mr Ian Haugland of Europe apperently didn’t agree as we didn’t win but we had a blast anyways!!
Always fun to play the royal capital of Sweden!
Speaking of the capital, the reason for our update now is that we will play in Stockholm February 8:th as special guests to The 69:Eyes and Tiamat!!
We have never played together with Tiamat before but we have all been huge fans for a long time and it is surely a dream come true to share stage with such titans!
And as always it will be great to see the familiar faces of the The 69:Eyes!!

The Mist of Avalon heads north!
Hello everyone!
So, there has been a bit quiet lately in these domains, don’t despair tho for we are working on new things and they will slowly but surely emerge in the near future!
We also decided to put up the song Tears after a very nice and kind email asking us too, how could we possibly say no when something is requested by us?! So there it is folks, up and playing! Hope you’ll enjoy it because it is surely one of our favorit songs!

Hello Everyone!!
So, there has been some silence as of late from The Mist of Avalon’s camp, but we thought that it was about time to brake it and enlighten you all with a few updates on whats going on!
First of all, the reasons for the silence are mainly because of three reasons, one of them being Aram, who has been working with another band called Amys Ashes (www.AmysAshes.com) check them out if you are a fan of Aram!
Another is that after being on one adventure after the other Magnus has decided to settle down, a little atleast.
A third reason is that we have shipped away Jocke in a crate to be the man behind the bathory for the swedish band PSYCHOPUNCH on an extensive European tour!
Also, if being a fan of Jockes work and you would happen to miss out on the Euro Tour, he and them will appear at the With Full Force Festival and at Wacken Open Air!
In other words, and probably even more intresting than the already written words above, The Mist of Avalon are teaming up with Dr. Cyclops Records ( http://www.myspace.com/xdrcyclopsrecordsx ) to come along on certain dates as “Special Guests” on our new friends The Dead Next Door, ( http://www.myspace.com/thedeadnextdoorband ) The Nightshift ( http://www.myspace.com/thenightshiftofficial ) and T-Virus ( http://www.myspace.com/tyrantvirus ) tour thru Sweden in June!!

We are happy to announce that November 2nd we will grace the stage of Grand in our hometown of Uppsala, Sweden, in their 10 year anniversary.
Grand has been a place we all keep close in our hearts with many memories, and not to mention a huge variation of memories,
but most important, all very fond memories!
So our way of showing our love and gratitude for everything that has been done for us from their part we are more than happy to play!!!
So, whats the twist you may say!?
Due to the fact that Magnus Ewald will be away exploring the far east our former guitar player Erik Sjölander will handle the bass
duties in a triumphant return!
This will unfortunatley only be a one time gig but then again, it might be the gig of a lifetime!
So don’t miss it!!
And to shovel some more glory over this night, the gig will truly be a once in a lifetime gig as our repertoare will consist of everything
from the gloomy days of “Souls of Silence” up until todays “Stay with me love”!!
We are truly looking forward to this special night and to see all of you who can make it there!
